The Abboud Bridge area in the Akhmim Center district of Sohag Governorate witnessed an incident of an allegation of an attempt to end the life of a girl after she ingested a toxic substance.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, received a notification stating that a report had been received from Sohag General Hospital regarding the arrival of a case of alleged rat poison ingestion.
Upon transfer and examination, it was found that the case was called Hajar A., 18 years old, and a resident of the Aboud Bridge – Akhmim area. She showed symptoms of abdominal pain and vomiting, and she was provided with the necessary first aid and medical examinations.
The necessary report on the incident was prepared, and the investigating authorities were notified to undertake investigations and take the necessary legal measures.
