Sermon text

Praise be to God, who made fasting a miracle for uplifting souls, and closeness to Him is an antidote for healing chests. We praise Him, Glory be to Him, for bestowing upon us a month in which hearts overflow with generosity so that grudges will disappear. I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner. He has made generosity an attribute and stinginess foolishness. I bear witness that our master, prophet, and master Muhammad is the servant of God and His Messenger, the imam of the patient, the kiss of the pious, and the best of the worlds. O God, bless May peace and blessings be upon this trustworthy Prophet, upon his good and pure family, and upon those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment, and beyond. Ramadan is the month of will and generosity, O Abdullah:

1- Be a symbol of the month with your determination: approach it with sincere certainty and ardent determination, and feel in your fasting the meaning of true will. God Almighty has made this great month a time to take control of yourself, and a journey to liberate yourself from the control of your habits, so you emerge from the narrowness of disobedience to the breadth of obedience, and from the humiliation of needing the glory of dispensation. It is the divine season that reshapes your awareness, rescues your sinking will, and expels from you the ghosts of incapacity and weakness. So beware of surrendering to the bondage of habit, and avoid the darkness of weakness that restricts your movement, so fasting during the day Discipline, and praying for your night is a start. Fasting was only prescribed to make a strong person, and God brought you in these blessed days only to change your condition and make you the master of your decisions, so contemplate with your insight into the lives of the prophets. How did they turn adversity into gifts, and weakness into strength, so feel the greatness of this divine state, and believe in your ability to change, so that the psychological structure is renewed in you, and the certainty of strength shines in your heart, and God’s grace is fulfilled in you when he said in the Holy Hadith: “Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting, for it is for Me and I will reward for it.”

2- Be a symbol of the month with your generosity: O you who seek benevolence, feel in the month of fasting the call of generosity that resonates in the Kingdom of God, so initiate benevolence and spread hope in souls. The Truth, Glory be to Him, has urged us to hasten in the fields of giving, saying: “And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous * who spend in good times and in bad.” So make Ramadan a season for enriching the needy and bringing joy to every sad heart, and know that what you spend today is not a deficiency in your money, but rather it is growth, blessing, and provision, according to what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “No wealth lacks charity.” When the will is established in the heart, it overflows the limbs with humility and benevolence, and we have in the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, an exalted example. He was “the most generous of people, and he was the most generous in Ramadan,” a generosity that overflows like “the blowing wind.” So, make your fasting a project to mend broken hearts, and free yourself from the captivity of scarcity that hinders your departure, in imitation of the Almighty’s saying: “And whoever refrains from his own miserliness, those are the successful.” Your sense of the dignity of divine hospitality gives you the strength to reform your society. So enter the niche of giving with an accepting heart, certain that God’s forgiveness precedes your shortcomings, and that what you give is your remaining balance. In confirmation of the Almighty’s saying: “And whatever good you spend, it is for yourselves, and you spend only seeking the Face of God.”

– Be the symbol of the month with your behavior: O fasting person, who has mastered his will to honor his humanity. True generosity in your life is not complete except with the sophistication of your behavior, the highness of your morals, and your dealings with the servants of God with an abundance of tranquility and dignity. The fasting person who adheres to his calm when angry, and whose heart overflows with mercy when quarreling, is the person whose spirit has risen above emotions, and who understood the truth of fasting as an art of beauty. In this holy month, you learn how to transform Worship leads to behavior overflowing with splendor; So your tongue fasts from ugliness just as your stomach fasts from food, and you are generous with your kind words to restore anxious souls. The point of fasting is that it refines your character, bequeaths humility, and makes you safe and peaceful for everyone around you, so that you become one of God’s most beloved servants to God on the scale of benefit and beauty. In accordance with the saying of the Great Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: “The people most beloved to God are the most beneficial to people.”

The second sermon

Praise be to God, and may blessings and peace be upon our Master, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. I bear witness that there is no god but God, and I bear witness that our Master Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and after:

O Abdullah, beautify yourself with the meanings of will and generosity, let your fasting be an effective means of building your humanity and rebuilding your country, and a symbol of a renaissance that begins with self-reformation to reach the construction of the universes. So fill your inner self with pure certainty, and your outer one with gentleness and gentleness, and initiate every beautiful action that raises the status of your nation and exalts the status of your kindred, and know that your will to fast is your key to every difficult thing, and your generosity with people is your bridge extending towards every easy thing. The true believer is the one who sees in his worship a material for serving creation and upholding the truth, so trust in your Lord always, and make the will to fast and self-generosity a guiding compass for you in every distress, and a beacon. He illuminates the paths of confusion for you; Rejoicing in the words of the Truth, Glory be to Him: “Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will not waste the reward of him who does good deeds.”

O honorable one: And from the completion of this certainty, and from the core of this faith, is that you feel deeply in your conscience God’s preservation of our precious Egypt, that land that God blessed in His Book, so rejoice in the blessing of its good land, and adhere to the will of its steadfastness and steadfastness in the face of the storms of time. It is the treasure of God on His earth, the refuge of the prophets, and the home of the scholars. It is concealed in the constant abundance of His cover. It overflows with goodness and blessings through the efforts of its sincere children. So hold on to the rope of solid will, protect your homes with tranquility and affection, and pour out into your society the spirit of generosity and solidarity. The sophisticated believer, the prostrating worshiper, is the one who emerges from his Ramadan school with the strength of determination that builds nations, the tranquility of the spirit that spreads peace, and the steadfastness of morals that preserves honesty, committed to the high etiquette of the Prophet and the method of Muhammadan beauty, to be a living image of God’s mercy on his land, imitating the commandment of the Most Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him: “If it is the day of fasting for any of you, let him not obscenity or make noise, and if anyone insults him or fights him, let him say: I am a fasting person.”

May God protect Egypt and its people, and bestow upon it His blessings, presence and generosity
