I witnessed Port Said Governorate During the past 24 hours, important events took place, as the atmosphere of celebrating Eid al-Fitr dominated the public scene, coinciding with the intensification of the field efforts of the executive agencies to monitor the level of services and cleanliness and remove occupancy in various neighborhoods, which reflects a state of discipline and vitality in Port Said Street.

“And I witnessed”Egypt SquareThe new tourist promenade received a large response from citizens during the third day of Eid, as Dr. Amr Othman, Deputy Governor, conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the celebrations, and was keen to share the citizens’ joy and exchange congratulations with them, in a joyful atmosphere. He also monitored the level of services and organization, stressing the continued field presence to ensure the comfort of citizens during the Eid days.
In the culture sector, the activities of the “Theater of Confrontation and Roaming” project were launched at the Port Said Culture Palace, which included the performance of “Hazem Very Decisive,” in addition to artistic performances and exhibitions of books and plastic arts, with the distribution of free books, within the framework of spreading cultural awareness and enhancing the enlightening role in the governorate.
Public parks and gardens in various neighborhoods also witnessed a large turnout from families, amid a joyful festive atmosphere, as field work teams were deployed to maintain cleanliness and provide services, which contributed to the city appearing in a civilized manner during the Eid.
As part of the field follow-up, the Deputy Governor continued his tours in a number of neighborhoods, where he inspected the level of cleanliness in the areas of the Al-Zuhur and Al-Manakh neighborhoods, and directed the intensification of employment and the increase of garbage bins, along with the rapid repair of facility malfunctions. He also followed up on the work of repairing a sudden break in the water and sewage lines in the guards area in the Al-Dawahi neighborhood, stressing the speedy completion of the work and the restoration of the efficiency of services.
For his part, Major General Amr Fikry, General Secretary of the Governorate, conducted extensive tours in the East and West neighborhoods and the city of Port Fouad, to follow up on cleaning work and remove occupancy, ensure regularity of work and achieve discipline in the streets, while stressing that violations will not return and that the necessary legal measures will be taken against violators.
At the neighborhood level, intensive efforts continued to raise the efficiency of services, as the city of Port Fouad witnessed beautification and maintenance works on green spaces, in addition to the revival of tourism activity, while the East neighborhood responded to citizens’ complaints by repairing lighting faults, the Arab neighborhood intensified cleaning work, and the Manakh neighborhood continued to remove waste, while the Zohour neighborhood continued the performance of the cleaning system in the field, and the suburbs neighborhood carried out massive campaigns to raise occupancy, and the West neighborhood continued the work of maintaining and securing lighting poles.

At the conclusion of its efforts, Port Said Governorate confirmed the continued intensive field presence in all neighborhoods, while continuing to work around the clock to improve the level of services and achieve discipline, ensuring the provision of a safe and civilized environment for citizens during the days of Eid.
