The St. Mark’s Church announced In AlexandriaTomorrow, Sunday, Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Mark, will preside over the Palm Sunday Mass from his apostolic headquarters in the city.

Palm Sunday is considered one of the most prominent church occasions because it commemorates the entry of Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem and begins Holy Week.
The church explained that a large number of bishops will participate, including Bishop Hermina, Bishop of the Eastern Sector, Bishop Bavli, Bishop of the Montazah Sector, and the youth of Alexandria, in addition to Father Ibram Emil, the papal agent, in addition to a large popular attendance to perform the prayer.
Earlier, Pope Tawadros was absent from the Epiphany prayer at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria at the beginning of this year, due to undergoing surgery. He returned again after his recovery to perform his annual tradition of praying from Qara in Alexandria on Palm Sunday.
