The competent authorities in Minya Governorate announced the burial of the body of a person who was killed in a microbus overturn accident that occurred on the New Eastern Upper Egypt Desert Road, south of the Beni Hassan Tunnel towards Cairo, after completing all necessary legal procedures.

The security services in Minya received a report indicating that a microbus had overturned while traveling on the eastern Upper Egypt desert road, as a result of excessive speed and a faulty steering wheel, resulting in the death of one person and the injury of 10 others with separate injuries.

Immediately, police forces and ambulances moved to the site of the accident, where the injured were transferred to Al-Sadr Hospital in Minya to receive the necessary medical care, and the body of the deceased was deposited in the hospital’s mortuary at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.

Earlier, a medical source confirmed that the health condition of the injured was stable, and that they were subjected to medical examinations and the necessary care, while the security authorities began taking legal measures regarding the incident.

After the preliminary investigations were completed and a medical examination was conducted on the body, the competent authorities issued their decision authorizing the burial of the body and handing it over to its family. The car and the driver were also seized, a report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the Public Prosecution was notified, which took over the investigation and action.
