A short while ago, the Prosecution Office of Muharram Bey announced the burial of the body of Father Tadros Atiyatallah Ibrahim, following the completion of the necessary legal procedures, and the funeral prayer will be held today in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria.

Initial investigations reported, according to eyewitnesses, that while he was on the balcony of one of the service buildings, he fainted and fell from it. The detectives were assigned to quickly investigate to ensure that there was no criminal suspicion, while the prosecution requested an initial medical report, and the final forensic report is being awaited to complete the procedures.

It is noteworthy that the deceased was born on August 9, 1963. He was ordained a priest in 1997 by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, and received the rank of priest in 2021 by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.

He served as a priest in the Church of the Martyr George at the airport, and he also worked as a professor of the New Testament at the Theological Seminary College in Alexandria.

Archbishop Andrews Matta, Dean of the Clerical College in Alexandria, and the faculty members and students mourned the late father with moving words, stressing their appreciation for his spiritual and scientific career and his contribution to church service and theological education.

A state of sadness prevailed among the members of the church and his fans, who praised his fatherhood, service, and honesty, stressing that he was an example of a servant priest similar to Jesus Christ, leaving a good impact on the lives of many.
