Dr. Ahmed Hassan Salem, Head of the General Authority for Health Care branch, opened the ceremony In Port Said The Intermediate Care Unit for Children at Al Salam Hospital has 4 beds, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System, within the Authority’s plan to increase capacity and enhance critical care services for children.
Opening the intermediate care unit for children at Al Salam Hospital in Port Said to enhance medical services
This unit aims to provide Medical care Medium for cases that require close follow-up without the need to enter intensive care, which contributes to improving recovery chances, reducing pressure on intensive care beds, and ensuring speedy service provision for children in a safe and equipped medical environment, ensuring efficient handling of moderate cases and provision of intensive care for the most serious cases.
Pediatric intermediate care unit
Dr. Ahmed Hassan Salem stressed that the establishment of the intermediate care unit for children comes in response to the actual needs within the hospital and in order to provide multiple levels of health care in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety. He pointed out that this opening comes within the framework of the efforts of the General Authority for Health Care to develop the system of specialized medical services in the branch’s hospitals and enhance their readiness to deal with various cases in a way that supports achieving the state’s vision of providing integrated and safe health care to citizens.
