​Dr. Amr Adel Abdel-Al, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in North Sinai Governorate, announced the completion of waiting lists for ophthalmology operations – cataract surgeries – in the governorate, stressing that the health system is moving steadily towards providing a distinguished medical service worthy of the Sinai citizen.

The Undersecretary explained, in a statement, that the medical teams succeeded in performing 18 cataract surgeries and lens implants in just one day at Al-Arish General Hospital, which contributed definitively to ending the waiting lists for cataract surgeries, noting that the operations were completed successfully with careful follow-up of all cases.

​The Undersecretary thanked the Integrated Caravans Group, Giving Egypt, headed by Dr. Sherine Adel, Consultant in Occupational Diseases and Family Medicine, and the team performing the operations, and included appreciation for their remarkable role and the continuous support they provided to overcome all obstacles to make this initiative a success.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in North Sinai stressed that ending waiting lists is not just a number, but rather an alleviation of the suffering of the people of Sinai, and that the health sector in North Sinai continues to work to improve medical and therapeutic services to provide the best possible care to the people.
