Nader El-Sayed, the former Egyptian national team star, revealed the reason behind not participating Mustafa Muhammad Mainly with the Egyptian national team during the African Cup of Nations competitions, stressing that the matter is due to the special artistic vision of technical director Hossam Hassan.

Nader Al-Sayyid explained to the “The Dressing Room” program that Hossam Hassan does not prefer to rely on an outright striker in the attacking line during the current period, as he seeks to play in a different style based on exploiting one of the wings in the role of fake full-back, which affected Mostafa Mohamed’s chances of appearing as a starter.

He added that Osama Faisal, despite his participation in some qualifying matches, was not playing as an outright striker, but rather was employed either as a fake striker or on the flanks, within the framework of the same technical vision of the coaching staff.

Nader El-Sayed pointed out that Hossam Hassan’s choices come according to the needs of each match, stressing that the coach seeks to achieve tactical balance on the field, even if that is at the expense of playing with a traditional striker.
