Spanish press reports revealed the value of the donations he spent Mohamed Salah The star of the English Liverpool team, and the captain of the Egyptian national team, in light of the societal and humanitarian role played by the player.
According to what the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported, Mohamed Salah donated about 6% of the value of his personal wealth to support charitable works, in humanitarian initiatives at the level of Egypt and abroad as well.
Mohamed Salah spends a large portion of his support for his hometown, the village of Nagrig, where he previously financed the construction of a hospital and a school, in addition to his contribution of 383 thousand euros to the establishment of a water treatment plant, in addition to providing monthly assistance worth 4 thousand euros to the most needy families.
The Liverpool star’s initiatives were not limited to his village only, as he previously donated 2.75 million euros to the National Cancer Institute in Cairo, in addition to providing 133 thousand euros to contribute to rebuilding a church in Giza after it was exposed to a fire.
Mohamed Salah also funds scholarships at the University of Cambridge for students from low-income families, according to what the Spanish newspaper reported, which reflects his role not only as a football star, but as an influential figure who brings positive change to people’s lives.
According to what the Sunday Times reported, Mohamed Salah ranks eighth in his country in terms of contributing to charitable work and helping those in need.
