The first team of American football club Intermiami, which plays for international football star Lionel, is preparing MessiFor a private visit to Washington, DC, where they are scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump.
This visit between the Intermiami team delegation and US President Donald Trump comes within a protocol tradition in which the President of the United States receives the champions of the country’s professional sports leagues.
Early flight to Washington before a league game
The team, led by coach Javier Mascherano, arrived in Washington early in preparation for a busy schedule, as it will face D.C. United in the third round of Major League Soccer, before competing in the first leg of the round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Nashville next week.
Date of meeting with the American President
The meeting between Inter Miami players and President Donald Trump is scheduled to take place on Thursday evening at 11:00 pm Cairo time, and midnight Mecca time, and so far it has not been revealed whether the entire team delegation will attend the meeting, or only a specific number of players will participate in this official visit, according to what was published by the Spanish AS website.
Messi is at the top of the possible attendance
This visit holds special importance for Argentine star Lionel Messi, captain of Inter Miami, who many consider to be the best player in the history of football.
