Hold your heart in trust in Menoufia

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Iman Zahran, Director of the Department, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Deputy Director of the Department, where the steps for field implementation of the campaign were reviewed and performance indicators during the last period were reviewed, in line with the recommendations of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development, and the decisions of the “Your Heart is Trust” conference recently held in the Administrative Capital.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health confirmed that the campaign is being implemented across 56 primary care facilities throughout the governorate, and provides a range of services including medical examination, cardiac risk assessment, electrocardiogram, and early detection initiative tests for chronic diseases and kidney disease, such as random and cumulative sugar analysis, blood fats, and kidney function. Family doctors develop a treatment plan or transfer critical cases to the secondary level according to approved clinical evidence.

Dr. Zahran reviewed the aspects of effective supervision and follow-up mechanisms, stressing the need to ensure the availability of medical equipment and update training needs, especially after a number of trained doctors moved to work in hospitals, which requires organizing new training workshops to ensure continuity of service quality.

Dr. Hanan Kroush, coordinator of the “Your Heart is Trust” team, also presented a graphical analysis of the health departments’ performance, explaining the obstacles and plans to improve performance, while assigning the coordinators to comprehensively cover the units and document corrective actions.

The Basic Care Department continues to implement intensive traffic campaigns on “Your Heart is Amanah” facilities to ensure the provision of high-quality health services and improve sustainable follow-up indicators for citizens within the Menoufia Governorate.
