Media personality Aya Abdel Rahman said that the Egyptian reader Sakina Hassan was born in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, and was able to memorize the Book of God and master its provisions, so that her voice would emerge from Upper Egypt and cross the borders of time and place, at a time when women’s voices were prohibited even when reciting the Qur’an.

The State of Recitation program praises the voice of reader Sakina Hassan

Aya Abdel Rahman added, during an episode of the “State of Recitation” program, broadcast on Al-Nas channel, today, Friday, that Sakina Hassan was one of the most brilliant reciters of her time, with her own listeners and presence, and her reading was recorded on CDs, so that her voice remained present at all times and entered every home, as if she were a generous guest filling the place with tranquility and reassurance.

She pointed out that her voice was like a rare perfume rising from the heart of a flower, and it remained engraved in hearts until today, a testimony to her great influence in the world of recitation.

Aya Abdel Rahman confirmed that the “State of Recitation” program in Egypt was not created by male readers alone, but rather Egyptian female readers participated side by side with them, and left their mark that will not be erased.
