Abu Galum Reserve in Dahab is one of the most beautiful and important natural reserves in South Sinai, and includes many wild animals and 165 species of plants.
Abu Galum Reserve is located near Dahab on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, on the road between Sharm El-Sheikh and Taba, about 20 km from Dahab, and directly overlooking the Gulf in the Wadi Al-Rassassa area.

The reserve is distinguished by its unique environmental diversity, as it combines the sea, mountains and desert in a rare natural scene, in addition to: rare coral reefs, colorful fish, and the intersection of mountains and sea in a picturesque view that distinguishes the region as one of the best reserves that is characterized by tranquility and enjoyment of the beauty of nature.
What does the reserve include?
The reserve contains great biological diversity, including: more than 165 species of plants (some of which are rare), wild animals such as: deer, foxes, and hyraxes, and a rich marine life that includes: coral reefs, various fish, and multiple marine organisms.
Tourism activities
The reserve offers many distinctive activities, including: diving and snorkeling, camel or four-wheel drive safaris, camping on the beach, and visiting the Blue Hole, one of the most famous diving sites in the world.
Its history and area
Abu Galum Reserve was declared a nature reserve in 1992. It has an area of about 500 km², including terrestrial and marine areas.

Entry into the reserve is carried out according to strict environmental controls to preserve its nature, the most important of which are:
