Somali President Hassan Sheikh said MahmoudIsrael will resort to displacing Palestinians to Somalia, and it wants to control strategic waterways.
The Somali president added in statements to Al Jazeera: The Israeli decision came at a time when we were about to emerge from problems that had lasted for a long time, and the whole world condemned and rejected Israel’s decision to recognize Somaliland.
Israel’s intervention in Somaliland
He continued: Israel had no interests or relations with the Horn of Africa, and we did not expect Israeli recognition, and we were surprised by its needless interference and jumping on the issue.
The Somali President stressed: We are trying to unify the country in a peaceful way, and Somaliland has been demanding recognition by countries for 3 decades and has not received this until now.
