Sports critic, Adel Attia, confirmed that Al-Ahly club’s recent performance does not live up to the level hoped for, pointing out that the results do not reflect the team’s true performance on the field.
Attia explained, during his meeting with media figures Rawan Abu Al-Enein and Ahmed Diab on the “Sabah Al-Balad” program broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, that Al-Ahly’s results with technical director Yes Torop are not up to expectations, stressing that the performance is characterized by weakness and a lack of harmony between the players.
He pointed out that Torop has not yet succeeded in adequately preserving the potential and capabilities of his players, which is evident in the inclusion of some elements in positions other than their primary positions, such as fielding Moroccan Ashraf Ben Sharqi in the right wing position even though his original position is the left wing, which affects the team’s offensive effectiveness.
Adel Attia stressed that Al-Ahly players appear without the spirit or personality known about the team, considering that the reason is due to the coach’s lack of understanding of the capabilities of his players, stressing that the current stage has become critical and cannot tolerate further experiments.
