Insurance companies collected insurance premiums worth 107.3 billion pounds during the period between January and November 2025, compared to 85 billion pounds during the same period of the previous year, a growth of 26.4%.
The latest reports issued by Financial Supervision Authority Regarding non-banking financial activities during the first 11 months of this year, Sada El Balad obtained that the value of property and liability insurance activity premiums recorded about 60 billion pounds during the period between January and November 2025, compared to 47 billion pounds, with a growth of 27.1% during the same period of the year 2024.
The value of premiums for personal insurance and money formation activities increased by 25.4%, to record 47 billion pounds in the first 11 months of 2025, compared to 37.8 billion pounds in the same period of 2024, according to the Financial Regulatory Authority.
Commercial insurance
Premiums collected for commercial insurance in Egypt grew by 21.3% during the first 11 months of 2025, to record 89.4 billion pounds during the period between January to November 2025, compared to 73.7 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.
Premiums for Takaful insurance activity rose by about 59.5%, recording 17.9 billion pounds during the first 11 months of the year 2025, compared to 11.1 billion pounds during the same period last year, according to the Financial Regulatory Authority.
