Official sources in the Ministry revealed Endowments About the details of the situation of Sheikh Ashraf Fawzi Ali, who sparked an overwhelming state of anger in the street and social media during the past hours, following the circulation of his statements that included unacceptable insults and insults against the parents of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him.

The sources said, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that the aforementioned is not an imam appointed by the ministry, but rather was working as a reward preacher earlier, stressing that the Ministry of Endowments had taken a decisive decision towards him to cancel his preaching license and prevent him from ascending the pulpit more than two years ago, which means that he does not have any official or legal status to speak in the name of religion or the ministry.
She stressed that the abuses committed by the aforementioned person against the Prophet’s family are a personal transgression that does not represent the Al-Azhari approach or the ministry’s advocacy policy, which is characterized by the sanctity of respect for the position of the Prophet and everything related to it.
Social media platforms witnessed a widespread wave of condemnation, as followers demanded that the aforementioned be held legally accountable for these statements, which were described as shocking and provocative to the feelings of Muslims in Egypt and abroad.
