Shahad Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, and Gawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, at the open stadiums in the city of Asmarat, a closing ceremony and distribution of prizes, cups and medals for the Ramadan five-a-side football tournament in Greater Cairo for youth centers and developed areas organized by the Central Administration of Youth Centers at the Ministry of Youth, amid a large public presence.

The Ramadan tournament activities began on the first of Ramadan with the participation of more than 500 players representing 50 teams from various youth centers in the Greater Cairo governorates (Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia).

The Governor of Cairo and the Minister of Youth and Sports witnessed the final match competitions, which resulted in the Ramla Youth Center team in Qalyubia winning first place, the Imbaba Youth Center team in Giza winning second place, the Gamaleya Youth Center third place, and the Manshiyet Nasser Youth Center team occupying fourth place.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, congratulated all participants in the Ramadan tournament for the spirit of sports competition, praising the distinguished organization of the tournament’s activities in its various stages, which came within the package of youth and sports activities implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the holy month of Ramadan at the level of all governorates of the Republic.

The Governor of Cairo stressed that the political leadership always keeps the youth in mind, as they are the hope of the future and the levers that will complete the building of the new republic.

The Governor of Cairo pointed out that one of the most important priorities that the state has set in order to improve the lives of citizens is “building people” by discovering and developing talents, especially in youth centres. He hopes that among our athletes participating in this tournament we will see prominent champions at the local and international levels soon.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, praised the boom witnessed in sports infrastructure during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, stressing that the governorate is working in coordination with the Ministry to provide the necessary support for youth and develop sports facilities.

The Governor of Cairo appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in nurturing talented people and improving the quality of services provided in youth centers, noting that the state is working to implement sports programs that suit the needs of young people and contribute to achieving sustainable development.

The ceremony was attended by M. Ashraf Mansour, Deputy Governor of the Southern Region, Dr. Sayed Hazin, Head of the Central Administration for Youth Centres, Mahmoud Fawzi, Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate in Cairo, and Eng. Hassan Al-Ghandour, Director General of the Strategic Administration at the Urban Development Fund, and a number of governorate leaders, and the Ministry of Youth.
