As part of the governorate’s celebrations of its National Day, and in an atmosphere of joy and popular welcome, Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal was appointed Governor Aswan The foundation stone for the construction of Al-Sail pedestrian bridge at Al-Sail slides, which is being implemented according to the highest standards of safety and security, and includes two elevators, taking into account the elderly and people of determination, with a height of 6 meters and a width of 2.40 meters, and in line with the visual identity of the governorate, provided that the project is completed within 3 months.
This came in the presence of Engineer Amr Lashin, Deputy Governor, Magdy Azab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of a tourist hotel company, and the people of the Sharq neighborhood in the Al-Sail area.

For his part, Dr. Ismail Kamal stressed that the construction of the pedestrian bridge in Mazlaqan al-Sail represents a complete response to a popular demand that has been long awaited for many years, and comes in implementation of what we promised to our people in these vital areas.
He pointed out the governorate’s keenness to complete a series of pedestrian bridge construction projects, as the foundation stone for the Kima pedestrian bridge was laid a few days ago, as part of serious and decisive steps to reduce recurring accidents on railway lines and achieve the highest safety rates for citizens.
Dr. Ismail Kamal explained that the project embodies a practical model of the state’s concern for citizen safety and achieving traffic flow, and that one of the private sector companies bearing the full cost of the project is an honorable model that reflects the leading national and humanitarian role of the private sector, and embodies the concept of true community participation that the state is keen to support and consolidate, offering thanks to the company’s board of directors, headed by Magdy Al-Azab, for their sincere efforts in serving the local community.
The Governor of Aswan indicated that the implementation of the project comes within the framework of the approach taken by the Egyptian state in the new republic under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which places the safety of citizens at the top of priorities, and seeks to provide a decent life through developing infrastructure and raising the level of services.
He confirmed that coordination had been made with Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, to construct another pedestrian bridge in front of the Al-Sail area to complete an integrated system of traffic and humanitarian solutions, and that these bridges will contribute directly to serving the people of Al-Sail and the east of the city, and achieving a safe connection between the east and west of the railway lines in a way that preserves the lives of citizens, especially children and the elderly, and enhances the quality of life within the governorate.
