The Fayoum Endowments Directorate, in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, organized extensive scientific seminars under the title: “The Status of the Neighbor in the Qur’an and Sunnah,” in (150) mosques in various centers of the governorate, as part of the activities of the “Standing Platform” program.

These activities were sponsored by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar The honorableAnd Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, and the directions of Sheikh Salama Abdel Razek, Director of the Endowments Directorate in Fayoum, and the supervision of Sheikh Yahya Muhammad, Director of Da’wah.
The seminars shed light on the rights of the neighbor as defined by the Islamic religion, stressing that observance of these rights and good dealings with neighbors constitute a basic pillar of legitimate values, and that benevolence to the neighbor is a manifestation of religious and moral commitment. The seminars also made it clear that good neighborliness requires enhancing the spirit of friendship and cooperation, and staying away from anything that might cause harm or disagreement, which contributes to consolidating social cohesion and strengthening the societal fabric.
These efforts come within the framework of the Directorate’s endeavor to consolidate moral and national values and address contemporary societal issues with a moderate advocacy vision that enhances behavioral awareness and contributes to building a cohesive, conscious society capable of managing difference in a civilized spirit.
The Directorate confirms its continued implementation of these seminars in order to correct misconceptions, renew religious discourse, and build rational community awareness based on knowledge, balance, and moderation.
