The candidate for the Mansoura Center district and the Dimna district, Imad al-Adl, known as the “candidate of the poor” and whose symbol is the “tromba,” submitted an official grievance to the Supreme Elections Committee, in which he demanded the cancellation and rerun of the elections in the entire district.
This grievance came against the backdrop of what the justice described as “serious violations and fraud” that marred the electoral process, noting that there were clear violations that affected the integrity of the elections and the right of citizens to choose their representatives freely.
Sources confirmed to Cairo 24: Al-Adl’s grievance is not the only one, as a number of other candidates in the district filed similar grievances, demanding an investigation and taking the necessary measures to ensure the fairness and transparency of the electoral process.
