Artist Amr Saad revealed his desire to re-present the movie The Thief and the Dogs, starring the late Shukri Sarhan and Shadia, which was shown in 1962.
Amr Saad said, in radio statements: I wanted to make The Thief and the Dogs series, but I stopped the project. I wanted to make Saeed Mahran, and we were nominated for a very big name for the character of Raouf Alwan.
Amr Saad added: I will make a movie and take the rights. I am not afraid because this is happening in America, and the whole issue is in Naguib Mahfouz, and you can repeat a successful work and have it succeed again, and this is happening all over the world with modern technologies. Imagine if you made a chase with the style and hairstyle using the technologies that are available now in Egypt, it would remain dangerous.
