The New Cairo Criminal Court, held at the Fifth Settlement Courts Complex, is hearing the defense case of the 13th defendant in the drug case, in which producer Sarah Khalifa and 27 others are accused.

The defense of the 13th accused in the Sarah Khalifa case said that his client has no connection to drug trafficking, and has no connection to the gang formation seized in the major drug case.
He added that all the accusations against him are based on the statements of the judicial police officer, who investigations revealed that he based his investigations on the investigations of a colleague of his in the General Administration for Narcotics Control, in a way that denies the crime was proven.
He pointed out that the papers were different from what happened on the ground, as the incident officer wrote that his client, the thirteenth defendant, was arrested at the entrance to his residence, and that the truth of the incident was that he was arrested inside his residence in the company of his wife and son.
He explained that his client was subjected to coercion to confess to the crime of trafficking in narcotic substances, in addition to the weak financial condition of the accused, as he bought a car in installments. He continued: My client brought a car in installments. How will he deal in drugs?
