The Ministry of Health and Population announced the accreditation of the Central Management Training Center for Emergency and Critical Care, from the Egyptian Health Council, as an official accredited body to provide specialized training programs, within the framework of efforts to enhance the efficiency of the health system and develop the skills of medical personnel.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the Central Department of Emergency and Critical Care is one of the first entities to obtain the accreditation of the Egyptian Health Council, to grant officially accredited BLS certificates, which reflects its commitment to keeping pace with the latest scientific and technical standards in the field of resuscitation and critical care, and its vital role as one of the most important axes of work of the emergency system in the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister for Therapeutic Affairs, noted that the Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) program is one of the basic requirements for renewing doctors’ practice licenses, and contributes directly to raising the quality of emergency and critical services.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Sadafi, Head of the Central Department of Emergency and Critical Care, said that this accreditation represents an important step towards empowering medical and nursing personnel and enhancing the health system’s ability to respond effectively to emergency cases, which will reflect positively on the quality of care provided to citizens.
