Cairo 24 continues to publish text Investigations Investigating authorities in the case No. 829 of 2025 related to the killing of an elderly man at the hands of his son inside their residence in Talbieh, after he beat him until he died.

The accused claimed that his father was stealing his ideas, took Ahmed Shaybah’s song “Our Lord Knows” from him, sold it, and stole stories from him that he had written.

In front of the investigating authorities, the accused’s sister narrated the details of the incident, in which she categorically denied reports that her brother was suffering from psychological or mental illnesses.

She added that what her brother Muhammad decided regarding the accused Ahmed Ismail Muhammad suffering from psychological disorders was incorrect, saying: He is afraid of Ahmed and cannot help him, stressing that the accused was claiming in front of people that he suffers from psychological illnesses.

Regarding what was said by her brother about the accused’s desire to take revenge on his father for allegedly stealing his ideas and publishing them in exchange for money, the accused’s sister responded by saying: He only speaks this in front of people, stressing that in front of her and in front of his father he never spoke about those allegations, but he was always demanding money.

The sister of the person accused of killing his father told the investigating authorities details related to the crime tool, noting that the blue hose used in the incident was not present next to her father when he initially entered the residence. Because he had been taken to the bathroom at night after the defendant assaulted his father.

She added that her accused brother was repeating incomprehensible phrases in front of others, and claiming that the family was stealing his ideas and selling them, adding: To show people that he is crazy and not responsible for his actions.

The witness confirmed that she personally heard the accused on one occasion threatening his father, saying: If you die, I will not spend an hour with you, and I will make myself crazy in front of people.

She explained that the accused was always sitting alone, and if he left the house, he would not reveal his destination, and would stay late for long hours without giving a reason.

The accused confirmed before the investigating authorities that her brother is responsible for all his actions, and that he is completely sane, but he deliberately pretends to be strange and crazy in front of others.
