A state of great sadness gripped all citizens after the death of the child swimmer Youssef Muhammad A son of Port Said and a player for Al-Zohour Club, who passed away while participating in the activities of the Republic Swimming Championship for under 12 years, and the name of the deceased topped the search indicators.

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Malik, the father of the young swimmer Youssef, who passed away at the age of 12, revealed what he described as “gross negligence” that claimed his son’s life during an official competition, stressing that the accusations leveled against him regarding doping were cruel and illogical.

Stimulant substances

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Malik, the father of the young swimmer Youssef, said that his son was subjected to an autopsy after the crisis ended, with some claiming that he had taken stimulants. He asked with great sadness, “Is it reasonable for a child under 12 years of age to be accused of taking stimulants? How can I, as a father, allow my son to be harmed?”

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Malik, the father of the young swimmer Youssef, explained that families are not allowed to be near the swimming pool during the races, and that he was watching the race from the stands, adding: “Immediately after the race ends, the pool is evacuated. There were 10 referees for 10 players, and yet no one paid attention to Youssef.”

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Malik, the father of the young swimmer Youssef, pointed out that the view from the judges’ position is much clearer than the view of the people from the stands, and his son’s condition was not dealt with in a timely manner, stressing that Youssef was subject to strict medical and nutritional control as he is a champion project being prepared for major competitions.

Engineer Mohamed Abdel Malik, the father of the young swimmer Youssef, called for his reputation to be restored and the accusation lifted against his son, who won the gold medal in his last competition, adding that the presence of his twin sister increases the pain of loss. “Until now we have not informed her of his death,” and “Youssef was a hero’s project. We were preparing him to be a great champion, but fate did not give him time.”

Faten Ibrahim, the mother of Youssef, the swimming pool victim, revealed the details of her son’s drowning, saying: Youssef was not saved in the tournament, and he was swimming when he was four years old. She continued: “I want Youssef’s rights from those who neglected to protect him… Youssef was not tired and did not suffer from any illness or fatigue during the race.”

She added, “A medical examination was performed on my son before the tournament, and what is raising rumours. Follow-up: The circulating pictures show that the referees did not follow the tournament.”

She explained: “My son Fadl was under water for more than 10 minutes. Follow-up: The ambulance that transported Youssef was empty and did not contain any equipment for either heart or lung resuscitation.”

She continued: “My son arrived at Dar Al Fouad Hospital dead and his heart stopped. They gave him resuscitation 4 times, but to no avail.” She continued: There was no doctor present at the club and the ambulance was empty.

For his part, Mohammed Al-Shazly, spokesman for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the state is dealing with the death of the child swimmer Youssef Mohammed during his participation in the Republic Championship under 12 years of age with complete seriousness.

He stressed that the investigations are proceeding in two parallel tracks to ensure reaching the truth and holding negligent parties accountable.

Al-Shazly said, during a telephone conversation with the media personality Nihal Tayel on the “Details” program on Sada El Balad channel, that the Ministry is experiencing a state of great sadness over the loss of one of its talented sons, explaining that Youssef was one of the promising players who achieved championships and medals and was relied upon in the future.

He explained that the first path is the decision of the Minister of Youth and Sports to refer the entire incident, with all its elements, including lifeguards, trainers, and the swimming system, to the Public Prosecution, which has already begun unloading the surveillance cameras and opening investigations with those involved in the incident.

He continued that the drowning incident of the junior swimmer, Youssef Mohamed, was monitored by cameras in Cairo Stadium, noting that the cameras were unloaded today by the prosecution, and showed the presence and number of lifeguards, the tournament director, and the supervisors, and that the case was referred to the public prosecution, along with all documents, videos, and surveillance camera transcripts of the tournament and the Egyptian Swimming Federation.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Youth and Sports continued that the investigations will be satisfactory to public opinion, and that any negligence or negligence will be held accountable by those responsible, stressing that there is another path for administrative, technical and technical investigation within the swimming sports system.

Dr. Gamal Shaaban, former dean of the National Heart Institute, also confirmed that everyone is saddened by the death of the child swimmer Youssef Mohamed Ibn Port Said and Al-Zohour Club player, who passed away during his participation in the activities of the Republic Swimming Championship for under 12 years.

His heart suddenly stopped

Jamal Shaaban explained that it is said that the late child, Youssef, felt dizzy, experienced heart problems, and his heart suddenly stopped, but he died after all medical matters were done after he was transferred to the hospital.

Messages learned

The former dean of the National Heart Institute added, during his program: “Your Heart is with Jamal Shaaban,” that the messages learned in such a story are to undergo a comprehensive medical examination every once in a while, and that all respiratory exercises must be preceded by a heart examination for the child who will practice them.

He pointed out that the tests evaluate the condition of the heart in order to determine whether this person’s heart is capable of playing this game, and that some may suffer from problems with the heart’s electricity, and in this case the child must stop playing this respiratory game.

He pointed out that the child’s age is more important than practicing any sport, and therefore we stress that the doctor’s warning that this person suffers from heart electrical problems must be taken seriously.
