The people of the city of Tur Sinai in South Sinai Governorate organized the longest collective breakfast table on the city’s corniche in front of Park 306, as part of the “Iftar in Tur” initiative, organized by the city’s youth and with broad participation from the people, under the patronage of Ismail Kamal, Governor of South Sinai.

The organizers of the event were keen to write the phrase “I break my fast at Al-Tur” at the beginning of the table extending along the Corniche, in a gesture that embodies the spirit of love and cooperation among the people of the city, amid a Ramadan atmosphere that combines familiarity and community solidarity.

The breakfast witnessed the presence of Ihab Makkawi, Assistant Secretary General of the South Sinai Governorate, deputy governor, Ali Hamadeh, the head of the city, Sheikh Al-Sayyid Gheit, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, Bishop Mina Saad Lundi, Pastor of the Church of the Prophet Moses and Mary Mark in Tur Sinai, in addition to Mohamed Fathi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and a number of sheikhs and Bedouins of the city.

A large number of families and families participated in the Iftar, so that the event embodies a distinctive image of interconnectedness and cohesion among the people of the city, amid a Ramadan atmosphere full of joy.

After breakfast, the attendees performed prayers, while the organizers prepared an entertainment program and competitions for children, which added an atmosphere of joy and happiness to the event.

Abdul Khaleq Tharwat, coordinator of the group breakfast, said that the idea began as a simple initiative, but it received wide welcome and great participation from the people, as the organizing youth made a great effort to make this community event a success.

For his part, Islam Al-Najjar, one of the coordinators, confirmed that the people of Tur Sinai are accustomed to participating in acts of charity and solidarity, noting that the initiative was inspired by the efforts of the pioneer martyr Sameh Medhat, known as the martyr of goodness, and his initiative of Tur Beyna, the Most Beautiful City, expressing his hope that these initiatives will continue and be consolidated among future generations.
