For his part, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, issued a decision that Thursday, January 29, 2026, will be an official paid holiday for workers in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector companies, and private sector companies.
The Prime Minister explained that this is the continuation of examination work (if any) according to the dates set by the competent authority, instead of Sunday, January 25, 2026 AD, on the occasion of the January 25 Revolution Day and Police Day.
