️ The main operations room and control center in Alexandria Governorate received a report stating that the roof of the third and second floors had fallen on the first floor of the property located on Wakalet al-Laymoun Street in front of Gate 10, in the Bahri area within the customs district, which consists of 4 floors.

Immediately, Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria, directed the relevant executive agencies to go to the report site, immediately deal with the incident, and take all necessary measures to secure the property’s surroundings and protect citizens and passers-by.

Immediately, civil protection forces and ambulances moved to the site of the accident, where rescue teams intensified their efforts to remove the rubble and ensure that there were no other people underneath. An injured woman was extracted from the bottom of the rubble and transferred to Al-Miri Hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

Upon examination, it was found that a total demolition order had been issued for the property. Its area is approximately 200 square metres, and includes a number of small apartments on each floor. Four families were evacuated from the property and neighboring properties as a precautionary measure.

In the same context, the executive agencies in the Customs District, in coordination with the concerned authorities, imposed a security cordon around the property, placed the necessary barriers to secure the area and regulate movement, while taking the necessary measures towards the parts that represent an imminent danger.

Alexandria Governorate is following the situation moment by moment, while inspection and examination work continues and all necessary legal measures are taken.
