Representative Yasser Kadah, a member of the House of Representatives, confirmed that the statement issued by the Ministry of State for Information, the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, and the National Press and Media Organizations reflects Egypt’s firm vision in protecting and strengthening strategic relations with sisterly Arab countries, in light of the systematic attempts witnessed in the media arena to stir up strife and spread division among the Arab peoples.
Kadah said that the relations between Egypt and the Arab countries, especially the Gulf states, Jordan and Iraq, represent a unique model of historical interdependence and a common destiny, as they are based on long decades of political and economic cooperation and coordination, as well as deep popular ties that strengthen the cohesion of these relations in the face of various challenges.
Yasser Kadah, a member of the House of Representatives, explained that these relations were not the result of the moment, but rather were established through pivotal historical situations and successive regional crises, during which Egypt and the Arab countries demonstrated their ability to stand together to protect Arab national security and preserve the stability of the region, which makes any attempts to undermine these ties completely rejected.
Kadah stressed the seriousness of the role played by some social media platforms in promoting rumors and misleading information, stressing that these means have become a fertile arena for attempts to wreak havoc between Arab countries, by publishing content that lacks accuracy and credibility and aims to inflame feelings and stir up disputes.
Yasser Qadah, a member of the House of Representatives, added that these campaigns only serve suspicious agendas and forces seeking to dismantle Arab unity, led by extremist groups that exploit this atmosphere to spread chaos and undermine stability, stressing that societal awareness represents the most important weapon in confronting these challenges.
He pointed out that the media authorities’ move in Egypt to control media performance and activate regulating laws comes at a very important time, in order to protect national security and prevent insulting sister countries or affecting the strategic relations that unite Egypt with its Arab surroundings.
Representative Yasser Qadah called on all citizens and media professionals to be accurate and adhere to national responsibility in dealing with regional issues, and not to be led by rumors or malicious campaigns, stressing that relying on official sources is the only way to understand the truth of what is happening.
Representative Yasser Kadah, a member of the House of Representatives, stressed that Egypt will remain a fundamental pillar in supporting joint Arab action, and that maintaining the strength of relations between Arab countries is a collective responsibility that requires concerted official and popular efforts to confront any attempts aimed at undermining the unity and stability of the Arab nation.
