In a time when pressures are multiplying, voices are rising, and spaces for calm understanding are narrowing, it becomes easy to reduce countries to a spectacle, peoples to a tweet, and history to a passing situation… But Egypt, in particular, is not read in this way, and Egypt is not summarized, nor explained by a reaction, nor by a sentence in an Eid sermon, nor is it judged by a single political moment, even if it is extremely sensitive.
