In light of what has been circulated on some social networking sites and the media regarding the requirement for parents to have a high qualification to accept their children in some private schools, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirms that the laws and regulations regulating work in private schools do not include any text that permits the guardian’s academic qualification to be required as a condition for accepting students.
The Ministry stresses that the right to education is guaranteed to all students without discrimination, in accordance with the Egyptian Constitution and the Education Law, and that admission to private schools must be based on pedagogical and educational standards related to the student himself, and not to the educational or social status of his family.
Education denies the requirement of a high qualification for the father and mother to accept students in private and international schools
The Ministry clarifies that it is following up on what is being raised in this regard with all seriousness, and emphasizes taking the necessary legal measures against any school proven to be violating the controls and decisions regulating admission, or practicing any form of discrimination between students.
The Ministry also calls on parents to report any violations related to private school admission procedures through approved official channels, in order to preserve the principle of equal opportunities and ensure a fair and safe educational environment for all students.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirms its full commitment to implementing laws and regulations, and continuing its efforts to control the private education system in the interest of the student first and foremost.
