Zamalek Club’s negotiations with its Saudi counterpart, Al-Najma, regarding the transfer of Nabil Imad Dunga, the white team’s midfielder, are approaching their final stages, in preparation for completing the deal within the next few hours, in light of the player’s insistence on embarking on a new professional experience outside Egypt.
Dunga moves to the Saudi star within hours
A source within the Zamalek Club revealed to Cairo 24 that Dunga directly asked Hussein Labib, the club’s president, to allow him to leave during the current transfer period and move to the ranks of the Saudi Al-Najma Club, after he completed all the details of his contract with the Saudi club.
The source explained that the player informed Zamalek management that the official offer from Al-Najma Club had already arrived at the club, and that all personal and contractual terms had been agreed upon, stressing his desire to leave and take on a new challenge in his football career, especially in light of the availability of a suitable offer from a technical and financial standpoint.
The source added that Hussein Labib assured the player that the Zamalek administration is currently reviewing some of the final clauses in the contract sent by Al-Najma Club, in order to ensure the maximum possible benefit for the White Club before granting final approval to complete the deal.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that Dunga informed both Hussein Labib and John Edward, the sporting director of Zamalek, of his final decision to leave the team during the current Mercato, stressing his commitment to embarking on a new experience in the next stage of his professional career, waiting for the agreement to be officially resolved in the coming hours.
