A number of airline flights were delayed EgyptAir It stopped taking off during the last hours, which led to passengers’ dissatisfaction.
Cairo 24 learned that many domestic flights were delayed for more than two and three hours and have not moved yet. The flight delays are due to a leak that occurred in the aircraft supply lines.
Representative Diaa Daoud, a member of the House of Representatives, submitted a request for information regarding the rumored fuel leakage in the aircraft supply lines at Cairo International Airport, and the resulting delay in the take-off of a number of flights.
Daoud said: It has come to our attention that Cairo International Airport has witnessed a leak in one of the aircraft supply lines, which resulted in resorting to fuel vehicles prepared for that at the airport, and eight equipped vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Petroleum were dispatched to overcome the crisis, which resulted in a delay in flight schedules for a number of companies.
He continued: This raises questions about alternative plans for dealing with these crises by the Ministry of Aviation and Cairo International Airport, and the negative effects of this on the air transport and tourism sector, especially what is also raised about the damage to airport logistics due to a shortage of spare parts for a lot of equipment, which also results in a delay in providing services, and the resulting delay in flight schedules, which contradicts the state’s plans to reach 25 million tourists a year.
