The Egyptian Gazette published in issue No. 267, issued on November 27, 2025, the decisions of Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, No. 1973 and 1974 of 2025, regarding the deportation of Lebanese and Indonesian nationals outside the country for reasons related to the public interest.
Deporting a Lebanese person outside the country for reasons related to the public interest
The text of Resolution No. 1973 of 2025 came after reviewing Law No. 89 of 1960 regarding the entry, residence and exit of foreigners in the Arab Republic of Egypt and its amendments, and the memorandum of the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality dated 10/21/2025 regarding a request to deport a Lebanese national outside the country for reasons related to the public interest.
The first article stipulated that the person called Jamal Mustafa Dandan, of Lebanese nationality, born on March 24, 1961, would be deported outside the country for reasons related to the public interest.
Deportation of Indonesians outside the country for reasons of public interest
The first article of Resolution No. 1974 of 2025 also stipulated that: MUHAMMAD ALWI DAHLAN, an Indonesian national, born on 7/16/2000, and ARJUNG NAIM, an Indonesian national, born on 7/30/1999, be deported from the country for reasons related to the public interest.
The second article stipulates that the Director of the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality must implement this, and the third article stipulates that this decision be published in the Egyptian Gazette.
