The Official Gazette published, in Issue No. 74, dated April 4, 2026, the Minister of the Interior’s Resolution No. 398 of 2026 regarding the deportation of a Syrian citizen outside the country for reasons related to the public interest.
Deportation of Syrian nationality outside the country
The decision came after reviewing Law No. 398 of 1960, after reviewing Law No. 89 of 1960 regarding the entry and residence of foreigners in and exit from the Arab Republic of Egypt and its amendments, and the memorandum of the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality dated 2/24/2026, regarding the request to deport Syrian nationality for reasons related to the public interest.
The first article stipulated the deportation of the so-called Iman Atallah Hamad Ghazi, a Syrian national born on 11/5/1983, outside the country for reasons related to the public interest, while the second article assigned the director of the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality to implement the decision, provided that it be published in the Egyptian Gazette.
