Details of the postponement of exam dates for next week
Abu Zaid explained in exclusive statements to Cairo 24 that after the study was postponed tomorrow due to bad weather conditions, it was decided to hold the special exams on Wednesday next week, while waiting for meteorological forecasts and the ministry’s decision regarding Thursday.
The Director of the Education Directorate indicated that if it is decided to suspend studies on Thursday, exams will also be postponed to another day next week, away from Christian holidays.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education decided to suspend classes in all schools nationwide tomorrow, Wednesday, in light of the expected unstable weather conditions.
The Ministry of Education stated in a statement: In light of the reports received from the General Meteorological Authority, which indicate that the country is exposed to a state of weather fluctuations that vary in severity and impact from one governorate to another, ranging from rain of varying intensity to winds laden with sand and stirred up dust, which may affect the regularity of the educational process unevenly between the governorates; In order to ensure the safety of students, and to ensure the principle of equal opportunities among them, especially during exam periods.
She added: It was decided to suspend the study tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, provided that coordination will continue with the General Meteorological Authority tomorrow to follow up on the nature of the weather conditions the day after tomorrow, Thursday, to take the appropriate decision.
The Ministry explained in a statement that the decision comes out of concern for the safety of students, teachers and workers in the educational system, in light of the warnings issued by the General Meteorological Authority regarding the country’s exposure to a wave of bad weather.
