At dawn today, the Dubai Government Media Office announced that the competent authorities in Dubai succeeded in extinguishing the fire that struck a Kuwaiti oil tanker, adding that the relevant teams continue to evaluate the situation and take the necessary measures.

In a previous statement, the Dubai Government Media Office confirmed that the Emirati teams in Dubai worked to ensure the safety of all 24 crew members of the Kuwaiti oil tanker, stressing that no injuries were recorded.

Earlier, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced in an official statement that the Kuwaiti giant crude oil tanker Al-Salmi was directly targeted by the sinful Iranian aggression while it was in the Al-Makhtaf area of ​​Dubai Port in the Emirates.

The statement explained that the tanker was fully loaded at the time of the accident, explaining that the attack resulted in material damage to the ship’s hull and a fire broke out on board, with the possibility of an oil leak in the surrounding waters.
The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation confirmed that there were no human casualties as a result of the accident, noting that work is underway to accurately assess the damage.
