The official report issued by the Damietta Port Authority revealed that the export movement of general cargo amounted to about 25,483 tons, including: 2,900 tons of urea, 1,243 tons of molasses, 2,000 tons of soybean meal, 8,423 tons of clinker, and 10,917 tons of miscellaneous goods.
The imported movement of general goods amounted to 28,209 tons, including: 12,970 tons of wheat, 6,013 tons of iron, 4,880 tons of scrap, 1,703 tons of marble, 3,800 tons of beans, 4,000 tons of soybean meal, 3,281 tons of edible oil, and 1,179 tons of beech wood.
While the export movement of containers reached 128 TEUs, the number of imported containers reached 93 TEUs, while the number of transit containers reached 1,310 TEUs.
The balance of wheat in the port’s grain and grain silo for the public sector reached 46,003 tons, while its balance in the private sector warehouses reached 22,625 tons, while the movement of trucks entering and exiting reached 5,720 movements.
