Dakahlia Governorate continues to implement wave 28 work to remove encroachments and building violations, in a new attempt to restore urban discipline and preserve state and agricultural lands, amid official assurances that any new violation will not be tolerated.
During an expanded meeting chaired by Major General Imad Abdullah, Secretary General of the Governorate, the executive position for the first phase of wave 28 was reviewed, and implementation rates at the centers and cities levels were discussed, in addition to the challenges facing the removal teams during field work.
The current wave, which is being implemented in three stages during the period from January 10 to March 27, 2026, aims to remove encroachments on state property, deal with illegal spatial changes, as well as stop encroachments on agricultural lands, as it is one of the most dangerous forms of violations that threaten the agricultural area in the governorate.
Executive sources in the governorate confirmed that there is daily coordination between local units, security agencies, and state agencies to ensure the implementation of removal decisions without obstacles, with the preparation of daily follow-up reports showing implementation rates and completion rates in each center and city.
In the same context, Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, stressed the need to deal decisively with building violations, and not to allow violations to return again after removal, stressing that the state is continuing to regain its right and apply the law to everyone without exception.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for dealing with points of spatial variables, and the start of Law No. 168 of 2025 regarding legalizing the status of squatters on state-owned lands, within the framework of regulating ownership and developing legal solutions for cases that meet the conditions, in exchange for removing illegal encroachments.
