Engineer Mahmoud Murad, head of the City Development Authority, announced New transitA decision was issued by the Central Unit for Policies for Dealing with Added Lands, formed by Ministerial Resolution No. 881 of 2025, aimed at supporting legalization clients and alleviating the burdens on them, in a way that contributes to achieving legal and social stability for citizens.
The head of the agency explained that the decision included clear technical controls to address the problems of multiple sales and increased areas, as it was decided to authorize dealing with requests for regularization of conditions that increase the total area by a percentage not exceeding 20% of the area of the original plot (subdivisions), with the percentage of increase being deducted from the original area of the plot before division on each request, provided that the legal position and chain of ownership are sound.

Engineer Mahmoud Murad confirmed that the decision applies to applications submitted by mail in accordance with previous announcements, explaining that the agency is currently working on examining ongoing applications, according to an intensive timetable.
He added that applications that were previously rejected due to multiple sales will be re-examined, with an increase not exceeding 20% of the original area, as soon as all files currently under study are completed by the relevant committees.
The head of the New Transit Authority concluded his statements by stressing that this step comes as part of a series of ongoing efforts to solve complex problems that have been pending for years, while adhering to the spirit of the law and taking into account the social dimension, ensuring the preservation of the state’s rights and achieving reassurance for citizens in the New Transit City.
