The General Administration of Youth Welfare at Cairo University, under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, organized a reception for students on the occasion of the start of the second semester of the academic year 2025/2026 with the participation of the university’s faculties, and in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, a number of college deans and deputies, and a group of faculty members, within the framework of the university’s keenness to support student activities and create a university climate that contributes to developing students’ skills and refining their talents.

Cairo University celebrates welcoming its students

The President of Cairo University inspected the exhibitions of student activities, which included many artistic and handicrafts created by university students, reflecting the diversity of their talents and creative abilities. The President of the University also discussed the students’ exhibits, and conducted an open dialogue with them, to ensure their regularity in studying since the start of the second semester, and called on them to participate in the activities organized by the university administration or colleges, which work to develop their skills and creativity. The university president also witnessed an artistic ceremony in which a number of students participated, amid great interaction from the audience.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq explained that Cairo University pays great attention to student activities as an integral part of the educational process, because of their pivotal role in building the student’s personality and developing the spirit of belonging and teamwork. He stressed that student activities work to consolidate and strengthen human ties between students and faculty members, and are considered one of the most important ways for students to integrate with society inside or outside the university. It also helps them in implementing activities that are compatible with their inclinations and desires, and instills in them the spirit of belonging to the homeland.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Ragab, Vice President of Cairo University for Education and Student Affairs, said that organizing the student reception ceremony at the start of the second semester comes within the framework of the university’s strategy aimed at supporting students psychologically, culturally, and artistically, and providing them with the opportunity to actively participate in various activities, which contributes to enhancing integrated university life. He pointed out that the second semester will include organizing many activities, events, and seminars aimed at raising the level of awareness among university students about societal issues, at various local, regional, and international levels.
