Mohamed Metwally, the club’s legal advisor, denied Zamalek The player Mahmoud Bentayj has terminated his contract with the team, explaining that the player sent a notice of termination, but this warning is illegal.
Zamalek’s legal advisor: Bentaeg did not terminate his contract…and his warning was illegal
Metwally explained in statements with Muhammad Al-Mahmoudi via On Sport that submitting a notice of termination requires two months to pass without the player receiving his salary, while Bentayj received half of the installment due to him ($75,000) for the last period, which covers a period of a month and a half, and the same amount remains for him to be due after only ten days.
Metwally pointed out that the legal warning to terminate the contract begins on December 15 for a period of 15 days, and if the club does not pay during this period, the player can terminate his contract, so Ben Tayj’s current warning is illegal.
Metwally added that all foreign players had submitted warnings in previous periods, except for the Jaziri player. As for the player, Bezerra, he is in a similar situation to Bentaig, as he has not yet completed his dues, so he is not entitled to submit a termination notice currently.
Metwally concluded by stressing the need for the Board of Directors to pay the remaining dues to Bin Taij before he has the legal right to terminate the contract.
