The army also identified the militants as members of the “Hindustan Sedition” group, a phrase used by the government to refer to armed groups in Balochistan province such as the banned “Balochistan Liberation Movement” and other separatist groups.

The Pakistani army claimed in its statement that the militants, including those killed in clashes with security forces, are supported by India, although it did not provide any evidence of this.

On her part; India has repeatedly denied Pakistan’s accusations of supporting separatists in Balochistan or Pakistani Taliban militants.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in a statement, praised the security forces for killing militants and thwarting rebel attacks in Kharan.
