The case was heard before the Second Circuit for economic misdemeanors in Case No. 148 of October 2026, registered as No. 4099 of 2026 for economic misdemeanors.
The details of the case go back to a report submitted by lawyer Ashraf Naji, accusing Badriya Tolba of spreading false news.

He said in his report that the defendant used to publish clips in which the artist Badriya Tolba appeared, using offensive titles and content linking them to allegations made by TikToker Marwa Bint Mubarak, exploiting these allegations to insult and defame the artist.
