Engineer Mahmoud Murad, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, received Engineer Haitham Hammadi, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Utilities Sector, to discuss the executive position of the city’s utility work.
During the meeting, the head of the agency reviewed the completion rates of utility projects, including water and sewage networks and grinding works, within the framework of a development plan aimed at supporting the new areas and raising their readiness to receive future service and investment projects.
This came within the framework of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, to follow up on the implementation rates of national projects and raise the efficiency of infrastructure in new urban communities.
After the meeting, the two sides went on an expanded field tour within the new investment zone located on the service strip with an area of 360 acres, which is considered one of the most important and promising areas in the New Obour City, due to its direct strategic location on the Egypt-Ismailia Desert Road, one of the most important traffic and logistics hubs in eastern Cairo.
This region is considered an attractive hub for commercial and service investments, as work is underway to develop its facilities, including water, sanitation, and grinding works, with huge investments worth more than hundreds of millions of pounds, with the aim of creating an integrated and attractive environment for investors, and enhancing the level of services provided in the future.
During the tour, it was confirmed that implementation rates are proceeding according to the planned timetables, with full commitment to quality and efficiency standards in carrying out work.
This move comes within the framework of the Ministry of Housing’s vision to support investment readiness and enhance infrastructure, thus consolidating the position of New Obour City as one of the most promising and attractive cities for investment in eastern Cairo.
