Dr. Mahmoud Siddiq, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Postgraduate Studies, said that expatriate graduates of the Faculty of Medicine represent an honorable model of integration between science and human values, stressing that Al-Azhar always seeks to graduate doctors whose giving is not limited to scientific knowledge only, but extends to include compassion and humanity in all their dealings with patients and society, indicating that this spirit makes Al-Azhar graduates ambassadors for science and ethics, capable of serving humanity and making a real difference in people’s lives, wherever they are.

During his speech at the graduation ceremony for expatriate medical students, Dr. Siddiq explained that Al-Azhar has never known any discrimination between its Egyptian students and its expatriate students, stressing that medical sciences are one of the best human sciences because of the service they provide to humanity and alleviating the suffering of patients.
The Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Postgraduate Studies stressed that expatriate graduates of the Faculty of Medicine should be a help to people, not a burden on them, and should be role models of mercy and humanity, explaining that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif instills in its students the values of the jurisprudence of what is permissible and what is forbidden, and instills in their hearts compassion and love for humanity.
Siddiq sent a tribute to the parents for the efforts and sacrifices they made in order to educate their children and graduate from this prestigious college, stressing that the incoming students are the sons of Egypt and Al-Azhar, enjoy their full rights and form an integral part of the educational and moral fabric of Al-Azhar.
The Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Postgraduate Studies concluded his speech by saying that this ceremony reflects Al-Azhar’s deep mission in providing an integrated education that combines science, knowledge, and authentic human values, and prepares graduates to assume their responsibilities in serving human society with all efficiency and ethics.
