Center confirmed Al-Azhar The Global Electronic Fatwa stressed the importance of venerating the Book of God Almighty and respecting it at all times, stressing a set of etiquette that must be observed when dealing with the Noble Qur’an.

The center explained that one of the most important etiquettes of the Qur’an is not to place anything on top of it, and not to extend one’s feet next to or opposite it, and it is also forbidden to keep papers or money inside it. The center also advised against placing the Qur’an directly on the ground or using it as a chair, not taking it to open places, and not writing any personal notes in it.

The Center stressed the necessity of preserving the Qur’an by wrapping it, repairing any tears in it, and keeping it away from children, and in a suitable place, away from dust and dirt. The center stated that respecting its scattered papers is a duty, and when reading is finished, it must be closed and not left open.

Al-Azhar stressed that the reader must make it a daily practice to read the Qur’an, understand its meanings and contemplate them, and act according to its morals, considering the Qur’an a bulwark from the temptations of the devils, a cure for ills, and a mercy that brings away shadows, citing the words of God Almighty: {O people, there has come to you an admonition from your Lord. And a healing for what is in the breasts and a guidance and mercy for the believers.
