During the past few hours, the streets and cities of Menoufia Governorate witnessed a widespread spread of banners bearing the phrase “Peace be upon the Prophet,” after the phrase topped the trending lists on social media sites, rapidly transforming from an electronic interaction into a simple community initiative that received great acclaim among citizens.
A number of young people and families took the initiative to hang banners and write the phrase in a number of streets and vital areas, in a scene that reflected a state of positive interaction and the desire to spread the word among passers-by, who confirmed that this initiative added a special spiritual atmosphere to the streets, and contributed to bringing joy and tranquility to the souls of many.
The idea of the initiative is based on reminding people to pray for the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in an easy and simple way that reaches different age groups without complexity, which helped in its rapid spread and adoption by wide sectors of society, to become a daily message that citizens meet on their way to their work and various interests.
Banners are still increasing in a number of cities and centers in Menoufia, amid a wide welcome from the people who expressed their appreciation for such initiatives that promote positive religious values and support community ties, stressing that this phenomenon represents a fine model of how to use trends to spread goodness and purposeful meanings within the Egyptian street.
